Our 5 Favorite Verses - Justice

Real talk? This post took me by surprise. Digging through verses about justice—I wasn't expecting it to move my heart the way it did. God is so just and merciful to us, and He asks us to respond in kind. It was so refreshing to be reminded of that part His character. It honestly filled me with HOPE.

So, what did we miss? What are your favorite verses about justice?

Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

James 1:27
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

Psalm 33:4-5
For the word of the Lord is right, and all His work is done in truth. He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

Isaiah 30:18
Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you;
And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him.

BONUS (because we obviously couldn't leave out the verse on our "Speak Up" tee):

Proverbs 31:8-9
Speak up for those who have no voice, for the justice of all who are dispossessed. Speak up, judge righteously, and defend the cause of the oppressed and needy.
